Flights: how to search and book?
If you're unable to watch the video, please refer to the text version of the instructions.
Step 1: Searching for Flights
1. Go to the "Flights" tab on the main page.
2. Select the route type:
In the search form, choose the route type:
- "One-way"
- "Round trip"
- "Multy-city" — for itineraries with different, specified arrival and departure points or journeys with more than two flights.
- "Super Route" — if you want to visit several destinations within one trip without specifying exact dates or destinations. The system will automatically select the best routes at the lowest price.
3. Choose departure and destination points:
You can specify an airport or city, optionally adding nearby airports. Multiple departure and arrival points, countries, or regions (e.g., Europe) can also be selected. Or use "Anywhere" to view all possible destinations from the chosen departure point.
4. Specify dates:
In the calendar select exact dates, a period or the whole month to search for flights at the lowest rates. For round-trip routes, specify the return date or the number of nights between flights.
5. Enter additional search parameters:
Choose the flight class (default is Economy),
number of passengers,
and use filters such as "Baggage Only" or "Nonstop" for more refined results.
6. Click "Search":
The system will display available options for the chosen dates. If a period or month was selected, a calendar with minimum fares for each date will appear.
Step 2: Working with Search Results
1. Review the results:
Prices are shown for the total number of passengers selected. Results can be sorted by categories such as "Optimal" (best balance of price and travel time), "Cheap," and "Fast."
2. Use filters:
For more specific results, use filters in the left column for baggage, airlines, departure and arrival times, and other flight details (e.g., exclude fares with immediate issuance or self-transfer).
3. View flight details:
Click "Read more" to view extended information on schedules, layovers, and travel times. The “Baggage Overview” near each option indicates included baggage, with important details such as self-transfer, airport changes, or baggage recheck highlighted in red. At this stage, you can also choose fares with or without baggage, while other fare types (such as Flexible, Priority) can be selected or viewed in the next booking step.
4. Add a flight to your selection:
Click the suitcase icon next to the fare to save it to your selection for later sending to clients or for their independent booking via your Unit-site for clients.
5. Select your flight:
After selecting the flight, click "Book now." The chosen flight will then be checked for current pricing and seat availability.
Step 3: Booking a Flight
1. Complete necessary actions:
- Review the selected flight or choose another.
- If needed, add extra baggage for all passengers or individually.
- Enter passenger information per passport details. Ensure accuracy to avoid additional charges for corrections under airline rules.
- Choose the payment method (by agent or by client).
- Enter a coupon code if available and applicable.
- Adjust the agency commission if needed (default flight prices are displayed without agency fees).
- Enter e-mail and mobile phone of the tourist.
- Сlick "Next: check final details"
2. Review entered information:
On the data review page, check all information. Click "Change Data" to go back if necessary. Carefully review the booking conditions and confirm your agreement by selecting the relevant checkbox. Then, click "Book now."
3. Complete payment:
To finalize the booking, make full payment within two hours. Note: Ticket prices may change during ticket issuance. In case of disagreement with a new fare, the booking will be canceled, and funds refunded. If the ticket is not paid within two hours, it will automatically be canceled without any penalties.
4. Booking confirmation:
After successful payment, the airline will issue the ticket (this process can take from 5 minutes to 3 hours). Confirmation and tickets will be sent to the email provided. Bookings and tickets are stored in Menu > Work with clients> Bookings, where you can view flight details, download, or print the ticket.
5. Order additional services post-booking:
Unit Travel allows you to add services such as extra baggage, airport transfers, excursions, car rentals, special in-flight meals, assistance for travelers with limited mobility, and more after booking or ticket issuance.
To request these:
- Use the relevant options in Menu > Work with clients> Bookings,
- Specify requests in "Booking Dialogues" under the selected booking in Menu > Work with clients> Bookings,
- Or initiate a chat by clicking on the blue "Dialogues" icon at the bottom right.
- Support will contact the airline to fulfill your request.
6. Receive automatic check-in or check-in manually:
For flights requiring check-in, the system will automatically check passengers in and notify them. If no notification is received, passengers should complete self check-in.
